New Year, New You?
Welcome back. Happy New Year. People typically like to take the opportunity to reevaluate some bad habits and try to correct them around this time of year. For our first post of the New Year lets share a few resolutions you are committing to making or discuss how it may have went for you in the past. Are you able to stay committed to a resolution you make with yourself? Or what would you like to change about yourself and what steps do you plan on taking each day?
There are a few New Year's resolutions that I made. One is to eat healthier. I didn't do very well with this last year, so I would like to try and commit to it this time. Another New Year's resolution I have is to not get anxious/flip out over everything. I have made no progress so far. My last New Year's resolution is get good grades. I want to make my family and my friends proud.
ReplyDeleteFor the past few years I've tried to keep resolutions but once a few months pass, my goals always seem to fade. I'm going to try my best to keep my resolutions this year. I'm going to keep them by changing gradually. This year is different than the rest because I set very specific goals instead of being vague like I was in the previous years.
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolutions usually have to do with sleeping more or eating better but I never really follow through, usually failing by the sixth day of the new year. My resolution this year was to come out of my shell more and talk to more people. To follow through with this resolution I intend to try to go to more social outings and maybe exchanging some words with a person I don't know as well.
ReplyDeleteOne resolution I would like to accomplish in 2019 is learning how to play guitar. I want to learn how to play so bad and even asked my parents to get me a guitar for my 13th birthday. I have not touched the guitar since because I never had any time. My mom says she knows someone who can teach me so I hope i can learn by this year. I would like to see the teacher like twice every week hopefully. I also homework doesn't get in the way.
ReplyDeleteAnother resolution i hope to accomplish is losing weight. I wish to exercise hopefully every day for at least a half an hour. If I don't get to do that, then I hope to exercise every weekend for one hour. I also hope to go on a well balanced diet. That way I can be healthier and be more confident with myself.
I try every year to accomplish exercising but I never get the chance to. I hope I can get that done and be a better me!
Over the years, my parents and teachers have asked me what my New Year's resolution is and every year I have pretty much the same generic answer; procrastinate less. Although I have always failed, (it's hard to not procrastinate when you always end up receiving an excellent grade)now that I am in high school I plan to take my New Year's resolution of less procrastination more seriously & stay committed. To change and finally succeed at this resolution, I can complete my homework/ projects before the actual due date as well as put my electronics in a separate room
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution is to be my best self I can be this year. I'm not usually able to keep my resolutions, but I am more mature than I've ever been. I would change how shy and uncomfortable I was with myself. This year I promise to treat myself in the best way possible, so that I may learn to love myself more.
ReplyDeleteI refuse to keep New Years resolutions due to the fact that I am never able to follow through with them and I never try to follow through after I make them. In the past a New Years resolution would usually last me one day and that is all. I only ever made them because teachers used to make us create essay's based on them. Also I believe that New Years resolutions are a waste of time( no offense to those who do make them. You do you). To sum it up I have not made a New Years resolution and I do not plan to make one in the future.
ReplyDeleteOne of my new years resolution is to treat myself and other people better than how I did for the last year, and I would try doing that by not being rude to people and not ignoring my parents. Another resolution is to eat healthier, and I would do that by start changing by eating less candy and fries once a week at school and other things that would cause me to not be healthy.
ReplyDeleteA few resolutions I am committing to making is to get better grades, be nicer to my siblings, trying not to procrastinate so much, and to eat more healthier. In the past i would always do my resolutions for a maybe a month then i always give up and then i tell myself that next time i will stick to it, but i never do. However, this time, hopefully i will stick to it and even if I fail, i try again and not wait until the New Year.
ReplyDeleteEvery New Years Eve I make a list of new year resolutions, for the coming year even though I make lists, I still seem to not follow through on my many goals and soon forget them. For this year I hope to actually change my habits and be able to cross out goals and start new ones. One of my goals is to stay organized for the rest of the year instead of stopping mid year. Another goal is to exercise more often, another goal is to participate more and get good grades. Another goal is to procrastinate less and get more homework done earlier rather than later. My last goal is to improve my social skills.
ReplyDeleteThis year some of my resolutions include not procrastinating, and eating healthier. In the past I haven't really made resolutions but if i i did,I broke them within the first couple of weeks of the new year. This year I am trying to have more self control. And even if I do break it, I believe that you don't need a new year to make improvements in yourself..
ReplyDeleteMy New Years resolution is eating healthier and working out. Eating healthy is a goal I have always wanted to accomplish because it can make me feel stronger. I hope to continue this process throughout the year. I also hope to workout throughout the year and continue with sports. Another resolution I hope to complete is getting good grades in all of my classes and staying on the honor roll.
ReplyDeleteFor my New Year’s resolution I plan to keep up my grades and be healthier. Grades are super important to me and I want to improve and impress my parents. I tend to put off studying until later in the night, so I know that I need to work on time management. I haven’t done a very good job this year with being healthy and I want to do better in that aspect of my life. I plan to go to the gym and do at home exercises after cheer ends in February. I usually have trouble keeping my resolutions, but I’m going to try my very hardest this year.
